The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

automatic vacuum cleaner robotvacuummops  reviews and tests cleaning appliances, focusing on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. They have impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to select if you're looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful in difficult corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well however it's something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and identify furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and effectively. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning that is also quite quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. These include corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

Another noteworthy feature is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also set the number of passes it will make, which will affect how fast the device will move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.

It's expensive, but has many smart features. It's important to keep in mind that it has regular costs, such as mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and includes an array of physical automation features. These include an energy button that serves as a general "Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping module that is equipped with an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for mopping and vacuuming however it does mean that you don't have to worry about changing out disposable bags or refilling the tank of water.

Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your house from being cleaned with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair from pets. It was able to collect some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was starting or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the requirement to change between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that serves as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.

The base comes with several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system can map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. This was a rare incident however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert in its app.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
